2023 guber poll: November 11 marks end to insecurity, hardship, deceit in Imo – Anyanwu

Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has unequivocally stated that November 11, 2023 will mark an end to the lingering insecurity, hardship and deceit in Imo state when PDP takes over the affairs of the state, assuring that no intimidation, thuggery or killings will ever upturn the victory.

Anyanwu gave this assurance weekend at Oguta and Oru West local government areas respectively during his LGA “Thank You Tour”. The party Candidate further maintained that since APC has failed to restore peace and put a stop to the panic in the state, no genuine Imo person would ever vote for them.

According to him, the people of the state have being unduly treated, starved, humiliated, harrased and intimidated by the APC government, maintaining that due to God’s love for the state, November 11 has been set aside as the right season to liberate the state.

He said that it would be a wrong idea for any Imo citizen to allow himself or herself to be left behind in the project of securing Imo state from the stranglehold of anguish and penury occassioned by insecurity, adding that no individual no matter how highly placed would ever subvert the mandate of the people.

Anyanwu regretted that the APC led administration has lost direction in leadership, and as well does not possess the needed strategy to curb the menace that has thrown Imo state into comatose.

“I did not come out to be your Governor to destroy you, steal our taxpayers’ money, or enrich myself or few persons, but I have offered myself as a sacrificial lamb to restore peace, sanity, improve the economy, guarantee freedom of speech and movement of the less privileged and the downtrodden”

“I have come to seek for your genuine partnership that will assist us to bring back the lost integrity, hospitality, conviviality, peace, unity and cooperation to our state. It is painful how innocent youths are dealt with on daily basis by those we gave our mandate, if we allow this opportunity of securing our state to slip off our palms, it will take us many years to recover from the damage the mistake will cause us”

“You may recall that when PDP was in power,, there was peace, money circulated, businesses thrived, prices of food items in the state were affordable, there was no killing by both the state and non-state actors, Imo was rated the cleanest and safest state in Nigeria. Our children won several awards, Imo took first position in JAMB, WAEC and produced the highest number of first-class graduates; but today, Imo cannot boast of even number 10, everyone is currently devastated and angry without any possible hope of survival. However, under my watch as Governor, Oguta and Oru West will regain their lost dignity. Under me, no body will use Oguta lake for politics again.” he stated.

Anyanwu therefore called on Imo people to join hands with him and his “Make Imo Safe Again” team to be able to restore confidence in the minds of the people who have lost hope due to bad governance in the state.
