Anthony Okoruwa Ehikioya elected chairman REDAN-FCT, pledges to advance real estate development

The Managing Director of Planet Next Intermedium Ltd, Dr. Okoruwa Anthony Ehikioya, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) Abuja Chapter (REDAN-FCT, Abuja).

In his acceptance statement, Dr. Okoruwa expressed gratitude to the outgoing chairman, Mr. Osilama, and the chairman of the electoral committee, Prince Oziewe, along with all elected members. He emphasised the collective responsibility of the newly appointed leadership to contribute to the development of the real estate sector in Abuja.


Okoruwa highlighted the importance of collaboration among stakeholders to address the housing needs of residents in the FCT, stating, “We have a duty to ensure that people who live in the city are well and fully accommodated, not just accommodated but in decent houses.” He urged all members to work together to make a positive impact on Abuja and Nigeria as a whole.

Elaborating on his inspiration and vision for his role as Chairman, Okoruwa emphasised the need to reduce developers’ challenges in accessing land and funding projects. He stressed the importance of fostering transparent and business-like partnerships with the government to bring prosperity to developers, residents, and the government.

Regarding collaboration, Okoruwa outlined a strategy focused on creating attractive programs and activities that benefit all stakeholders. He emphasised the need for a business partnership approach with the FCTA and FHA in Abuja to achieve affordable housing and infrastructural development.

Okoruwa underscored the importance of transparency and accountability, stating, “To ensure transparency and accountability, you have to be transparent and accountable.” He committed to leading by example and bringing in individuals who can help address industry challenges.

Furthermore, Okoruwa called on all members to roll up their sleeves and work together towards the common goal of development. He emphasised the importance of education, service, and honesty in building a successful future for the industry.

Okoruwa urged all members to think of the future of their businesses and the industry as a whole, emphasising the importance of honesty and dedication in their endeavours.
