RENCAP gets new credit, fixed income strategist

RENAISSANCE Capital (RENCAP) has appointed Elena Kolchina as Director of Fixed Income Desk Strategist and Credit Analyst in its quest to further strengthen its global team.

Prior to this appointment, Kolchina was responsible for managing the Signet Verno Russia Debt Fund, and was actively involved in building other high-income bond products, asset raising and liaising with clients.

According to a statement issued by the company, Kolchina rejoins Renaissance Capital from Signet Capital Management, a fixed income asset management company, where she has been a portfolio manager for the past 18 months.

Her main responsibilities will include providing regular trading ideas and helping to grow the Firm’s client business.

According to RENCAP, she was Head of Fixed Income and the Lead Fund Manager of the Renaissance Russia Debt Fund (from its inception in March 2006 until mid-June 2013).

Kolchina worked as Head of Russian Fixed Income Research at ING Bank Moscow from 1995 until 2004. She holds an MBA from Moscow Academy of Economics and a Bachelor of Applied Mathematics from Moscow technical university.

Meanwhile, with more than 15 years of experience in fixed income, Kolchina established herself in the sector during her nine years at Renaissance Asset Managers between 2004 and 2013.
