Behold the saviour of the world

Worshipers at the December 2021 crusade testifying at the Lord’s Chosen headquarters in Lagos

From the beginning of creation, God’s purpose for man has been for man to continually be under His watch. This is why He was on daily basis coming down from heaven to fellowship with man. Man was then leading a lifestyle that was in accordance with His will. Unfortunately, the Devil stepped in and man disobeyed God’s instruction not to eat the forbidden fruit. God had earlier warned him not to touch or eat the fruit.

Eating the forbidden fruit led to man’s fall and lost of God’s glory. The Bible reports that God was looking for man, but he was not there. Genesis 3:9-15: “And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, where art thou? 10: And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. 11: And he said, who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? 12: And the man said, the woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. 13: And the Lord God said unto the woman, what is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, the serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. 14: And the Lord God said unto the serpent, because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: 15: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

The love God has for His children propelled Him to call and look for the backslidden Adam and Eve who after disobeying God and ran away from their place of fellowship. There was a perfect relationship based on the existing covenant between God and Adam that guaranteed protection and blessings.

The Adamic covenant is the life of the fallen man. It is a condition that will remain till the entire world is saved from the bondage of sin through Jesus Christ to the glorious liberty of God.

The ingredients of the covenant are as follows: the serpent, Satan’s instrument to carry out sin. The serpent was reduced from the most beautiful and subtle of creatures to a loathsome reptile. However, there is a promise of a Redeemer, starting from Abel, Seth, Noah, Shem, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Judah, David, to Immanuel, who is Jesus Christ. He is the Redeemer of the world. There is also the changed state of the woman, who has to experience great pains at conception and also to be under the headship of the man and continued to desire the husband.

Also, the Garden of Eden that was a happy place changed to a place of burdensome labour, as the earth was cursed. There is brevity of life and physical death to Adam and all his descendants. There was also enmity between the seed of man, our Lord Jesus Christ and the Devil. Jesus Christ, the Redeemer, will bruise the head of the serpent, while the serpent will bruise the heel of the seed of man. It is worthy of note here that the ground was cursed because of man’s sin. As a result of sin, Adam and Eve were chased out of the Garden of Eden to fend for themselves.

The moment man fell, God immediately set a redemptive plan to save him. The Redeemer would not only restore man to grace, but would also reconcile him with God in preparation for his eternal life in heaven. That Redeemer is Our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible in John 3:16-17 says: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life. 17: For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.” Eternal life in heaven is for as many people as possible that will abide by the redemption plan of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

The moment man fell, the Devil took over the ruling of the earth and began to sow the seed of the world culture in the heart of men. He aimed at taking man to hell fire through this. But with the Redeemer, the Saviour of the world, Our Lord Jesus Christ, the yoke of sin the Devil placed on man is over. He took the vicarious position of a sinner in death. He died for the sins of the people, so they can live for God. As the Saviour of the world, He makes it clear that He is the way, the truth and life, hence no one comes unto the Father except through Him.

Although, the world refused to accept Him, yet He is the Saviour of the world. This is why the Bible says in Isaiah 53:3-6: “He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4: Surely, he hath borne our grief, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6: All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”

Our Lord Jesus Christ healed many people; He took away their diseases. Nevertheless, He died for our sins, not for our diseases. It must be noted that physical disease is not always as a result of sin, although sin causes sickness or affliction, but not all sickness is as a result of sin, Jn 9v1-5. Isaiah prophesies that Christ would bear our sins on the Cross, hence His death was both substitutionary and atoning. He took over the death meant for man because man has sinned. The Bible makes it clear in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” He died a shameful death for sinners, himself being innocent. His death reconciled us to God, removed the yoke of sin on us and created opportunity for us to enter into eternal life in heaven. It is because of the everlasting life in heaven that the Bible in Matthew 11:27-28, says: “All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. 28: Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

The Saviour of the world, Our Lord Jesus Christ having finished the work of redemption, is assuring every living soul in this world that all things have been handed over to Him by the Almighty God. All should, therefore, come unto Him for eternal rest. Prior to life in heaven there is healing, protection, blessings, among others on earth for those who believe in Him. Jesus Christ is, therefore, calling on all men to come to Him for the salvation of their souls. He is the Saviour of the world. Do not allow this opportunity to pass you by because the time is short.

The Chosen Is Different From Others
MY name is Bro. Anyanwu Arch Victor. I live in Lagos and joined the Lord’s Chosen Ministry in 2003. I thank God that my family and l are members of the ministry. I am a manager of a bank in Lagos. Some years ago, another bank approached my bank for a transaction called “Cash Swap.” The requesting bank raised a draft of $4 million for the purpose. Initially, my bank did not have the complete amount, but I was able to raise $3 million, while we sourced the remaining $1 million. Before the close of business that day, we were able to source the remaining balance and I called the requesting bank to come and pick. But the person in charge said they had already collected the complete amount from us, so, I did the necessary checks and balancing to be sure the accounts were balanced, and after checking, there was an excess of $1 million.

I went to the requesting bank to tell them about my findings. They still maintained that they had collected the complete amount and signed all the necessary documents involved.

At this point, I went back to my office and placed the $1 million in a discreet place in the bank’s vault. The money was there for over a year, untouched. I was quite tempted, but I resisted touching it. After a year, the requesting bank realised that there was a $1 million shortage in the transaction and contacted my bank, pleading and saying the officers in charge of the unit would be sacked if the money is not recovered.

At this time, I informed them that the money is in my care and they should come and pick it. All the officers involved were shocked to find out that someone could keep such huge amount.

I thank God for the grace to resist the temptation. I also thank God for adhering to the teachings of our G.O and for having the fear of God. I pray for our G.O and his family, Chosen Pastors, leaders, workers and members, heaven at last in Jesus’ name.
