StarTimes slashes antenna, decoder price, introduces convenient payment

Desirous of ensuring that customers receive the best possible access to great entertainment and outstanding value at affordable price, digital Pay TV provider, StarTimes has announced price reduction on its DTT Antenna and SD decoder respectively.

While speaking on the price reduction, the Acting Brand and Marketing Director, Mr. Qasim Elegbede, noted, “We recognise that our customers are living in tough economic times and we want to reward them for their ongoing loyalty and support with this substantial price reduction from N7, 500 to N5, 900 for our DTT (Antenna) and SD Decoder. This substantial price reduction reinforces our commitment to ensuring that our customers receive the best possible access to great entertainment and outstanding value at an affordable price.

“We have made the move to provide fantastic movie channels like ST Yoruba, Iroko 1, Iroko 2, AMC Movies and Series, ST Zone, Orisun, and Bollywood channels like StarPlus and Zee Cinema. For music lovers, the platform offers stations with varying music genres such as ST Music, Nigezie and MTV Base. Football lovers can also enjoy the thrills and action of round leather game from leagues such as the Italian Serie A, Bundesliga, French Ligue 1, Chinese Super League and the 2017-2018 FIFA events which includes the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2017, FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 and FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2017. Others are the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017, FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2018, FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2018 and 2018 FIFA World Cup,” Elegbede noted.

The company has also introduced Remita, one of Nigeria’s electronic payment solutions, to its customers as the easier, faster and more convenient way to pay for subscriptions.

With this development, StarTimes customers can now make daily subscriptions for as low as N60, using their debit and credit cards. They can also pay through the Internet banking platforms of their banks, www.remita.net, at any commercial bank branch; or any of more than 500 Microfinance bank branches nationwide.

“Our aim is to continue to provide our subscribers with easier ways to access non-stop entertainment on our digital terrestrial and satellite television stations. We do not want them to have any barrier – least of all, subscription renewal. This has informed our partnership with Remita,” said Tunde Aina, Chief Operating Officer of StarTimes.
