The billionaire business woman only chose to take a back seat in the schemes of things in the era of new administration following a rumour that she was at a time planning a lavish dinner in London in honour of the new First Lady, Aisha Buhari.
Shagaya has since dispelled the purported story, saying that it’s just a figment of the imagination. Hajia Shagaya also confirmed to many that she still remains a very close confident and friend of Patience Jonathan and will continue to offer her invaluable contribution no matter her position in the country.
Her closeness to all the Nigerian first ladies such as Maryam Abacha, late Stella Obasanjo, Hajia Turai Yar’Adua, Patience Jonathan and several others, might have sparked off the rumour. From all indications, it seems Hajia has taken a back seat and watches as events unfold.
