Kwara State Government has announced readiness to conduct local government council elections in September 2024.

Okanla Baba, the KWSIEC Chairman, said the exercise would be held across the 16 local governments.

Okanla said: “Arrangements are being put in place to make this happen within the set date.”

He however promised to give further breakdown on the timetable.

“We will give election Time Table of activities soon, all things being equal,” he added.

He urged all residents to be alert, especially on the commission’s public announcements.

“We urge all stakeholders to follow our public communications, updates, and get ready for the elections within the time frame,” KWIEC said.
