Mariana Givens, his daughter, confirmed that he died from acute respiratory failure at his home in Burbank, California. As one of the legends from the golden age of animation, Bob Givens shares in the credit for the illustration of characters like Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, Daffy Duck, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and Popeye.

He was hired by the Walt Disney Company fresh out of high school and his first major project was on the team of the Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs animation.

Mariana went on Facebook expressing her thanks to the people who supported her at this time.

“My Heartfelt thank you and appreciation for all of Dad’s animation Family, Hayward High School friends and my church family in Santa Barbara, for your love and support of the loss of my father”
