‘Around Naija’ show unveils ex-Eagles skipper, Kanu Nwankwo as brand ambassador
‘Around Naija’, a TV reality show designed and created by Blue Diamond Entertainment Limited to showcase the aesthetics inherent in the tradition and culture of ethnic nationalities in Nigeria has unveiled ace footballer, Kanu Nwankwo as its brand ambassador.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony in Lagos, President/CEO of the organisation, Otunba Olumide Adekunbi, noted that the choice of Kanu as the face of the project was based on his personality, values and influence among young Nigerians.
He also said, “the choice of Kanu is a true reflection of the fact that he has exciting personality that embodies the strength of the Nigerian youth.”
He also noted that having made his mark in the field of football and health, it is auspicious to use his strength and values to promote the rich traditional and cultural heritage of Nigeria.
While describing the choice of Kanu as a perfect combination, the Project Director, Mr. Hyacinth Aniemeke, said there are lots of good things in common, including good reputation, unique care to the less priviledged, hardwork as well as positive influence to Nigerians.
He said the fulcrum of this show is to challenge Nigerians on their knowledge of “our culture and traditions, and the choice of Kanu is a step in the right direction having made impact in the field of soccer and positive contribution to the health sector.”
Kanu, in his response, thanked management of the entertainment outfit for finding him worthy to be the brand ambassador of the reality show and pledged to put in his best to make the family show worthwhile for Nigerians.
