The founder and leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Oke-Afa, Isolo, Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele, has condemned the recent endorsement of gay marriage by the United States’ Supreme Court and the subsequent approval by president Barrack Obama, saying gay marriage was a gross violation of God’s law.

He therefore asked President Muhammadu Buhari to thread carefully with the U.S. government because of its empty promises to help in the fight against Boko Haram.

Ayodele made this clarification in his office yesterday while addressing journalists on the publication of his yearly book of prophecies, “Warnings to the Nations: A Collection of Divine Signals, 2015/2016 edition.”

The Primate said gay marriage does not only violate God’s law, it also stands common logic on its head, adding that even animals do not engage in such base acts.

On the new government of Buhari, Ayodele noted that he foresaw challenges ahead that would rock his government and advised him to remain steadfast and implement policies that are people-oriented.

He identified Economy as one area Buhari should apply himself vigorously, if he hoped to make impact. Although he said Buhari is the expected messiah on account of the many challenges ahead, Ayodele advised Nigerians to pray for their leaders to make a difference in their lives.

The Primate also tasked Buhari not to dissipate all his energy fighting corruption, as it would yield little results. According to him, those who benefit from corruption will frustrate his government, if he made fighting them his sole mission. Rather, fighting poverty in the land should be his main focus, he said.
