Members of the Hausa Community trading in Bodija area of Ibadan, Oyo State have installed Alhaji Aminu Musa Abubakar II as the Magajin Garin of Bodija and its environs.

The traders, in their hundreds, stormed the Sabo palace of the Sarkin Hausawa of Ibadanland where the new leader was formally installed by Alhaji Ahmed Dahiru Zungeru to succeed his late father, Alhaji Musa Abubakar Mai-Buhu who passed on last year in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

Speaking at the carnival-like event, the Sarkin Hausawa charged the new community head to work assiduously with the state government by educating the teeming members of Arewa Community in his jurisdiction on harmonious inter-ethnic relationship so as to ensure enduring peace and progress in the state.

According to Zungeru, the counsel has become necessary, as it was capable of curbing the insurgency in some parts of the country, thus saving the nation’s nascent democracy.

Responding, Abubakar II pledged his determination to maintain peace at all times while calling for useful advice from the elders and stakeholders.
