‘How to make businesses more efficient, self-sufficient and profitable’

In this interview with Paula Eseghene, the company’s chief Seun Akinyelu speaks on the event and other matters.

A brief introduction of yourself and what you do in GODP Consulting

Who is Seun Akinyelu?
Seun Akinyelu is the Lead Consultant of GODP Consulting. He is a qualified chartered accountant (ACCA) and holds a B.sc Finance (Hon). He holds several other financial certifications. He is an alumnus of the London School of Business and Finance; he has an Advanced Certificate (AD) in ‘Derivatives and Alternative Investment’. Prior to his stay in GODP Consulting he was a Senior Manager in IFRS Partners where he led various engagements in GAC Group, Pan Ocean, Eko Hotels, Frontier Oil, Ascon Oil, ARM Group etc. Prior to his stay in IFRS Partners, he was in PwC where he audited numerous multinationals and companies like

Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, Africa Finance Corporation, Zenith Bank Plc. Eterna Oil etc. while in Pricewaterhouse Coopers he gathered vast expertise in delivering quality professional service in financial services, Oil and gas, manufacturing industries etc. He is a pioneer member of the IFRS conversion team in PwC Nigeria and he helped developed the IFRS training and conversion practice in the firm. He is also a recipient of award for excellent service in the IFRS conversion practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has facilitated in over 300 (three hundred) seminars and workshops in manufacturing, banking, oil and gas, pensions and insurance sectors in Nigeria, Ghana etc. He has helped with the transition of several companies (over 80 companies) to IFRS. He has proven track record in IFRS, financial modeling and valuation, financial derivatives, process improvement, financial reporting, risk management etc. He has facilitated in various Board of Directors training including Ecobank Nigeria, Honeywell Directors’ training, FUG Pensions etc.

Is the event free? What is the motivation behind it?
Yes, it is totally free. Human capital is the most important resource in any business but it is seldom considered in resource planning.
