Message of hope at Prophet Sotade’s ordination
In order for the nation to recover from its present economic challenges, the Supreme Head C &S Church Worldwide, , has urged Nigerians to completely put their trust in God.
Speaking at the recent ordination and investiture of Prophet Samuel Adisa Sotade as Baba Aladura /Spiritual Head of Cherubim and Seraphim Oke-Iye Society in Lagos, Prophet Alao noted that the imperativeness of trusting in God cannot be over emphasized.
Represented by Prophet Lekan Akintayo of C&S Holy Church, he further stated that, “we should think more of the ability of the Almighty to solve our problems. It appears the masses and leaders think it is a problem they can solve on their own. We need to appeal to God; we need to trust in Him. He has the power above all things. What befalls any nation is the relationship of that nation with the Almighty. So we should talk to God with all honesty and try to be righteous because righteousness exalts a nation and sin is a reproach.”
In his sermon, Most Elder Timothy Oke, Spiritual Head, New Life Church of C&S, urged Christians to always heed God’s call whenever he calls them.
Ministering on the importance of God’s calling, he said people that heeded God’s call in The Bible usually emerge victorious.
According to him, God called Abraham and told him to leave his father’s house even as a childless man, but later God blessed him with Isaac. He described Prophet Adisa as a God-fearing man whose life is worthy of emulation.
Taking his text from 1 Timothy: 3, he said: “Prophet Adisa possess most of the qualities of a Bishop which are- blamelessness, the husband of one wife, vigilance, soberness, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach, not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; patient, not a brawler and not covetous, among others
In his acceptance speech, Prophet Adisa expressed appreciation for the ordination and urged Christians “to walk in faith, love and hope.”
