NGO launches ‘Dreamers Project’ for pupils
A Non-Governmental Organisation, Read To Succeed (R2S Africa), has launched Dreamers Project across selected primary schools in Abuja.
According to a statement by the founder, Simi Fajemirokun, the initiative is a three-week programme to help students connect the future with the present.
The project enables them to acquire training in goal setting, problem solving, presentation, public speaking and tapping skills. Students will also earn alternative career pathways in the new economy, as well as ways of unleashing their creativity while connecting the dots between the future and the present.
The project currently runs in five public schools in Abuja where efforts are being made to link education, skills and the future of work among Primary Six students.
The R2S Africa team said the project brings together over 30 professionals and experts on agri-business, construction and technology to share their experiences from school to employment.
