A frontline member of the All progressive Congress (APC), Chief Ogbonnaya Onu has expressed optimism that Nigeria would join the comity of advanced countries of the world in no distant time from now.

Speaking while receiving officials of the Association of Northern Nigerian students (ANNS) at his residence, yesterday in Abuja, he assured that President Muhammadu Buhari would work assiduously towards actualizing the goal.

He nu remarked that the steps needed to take the country to the zenith of development requires the immense support of both students and academics spread across various institutions of learning in the country.
Stressing the need for unity among Nigerians, irrespective of the ethnic and religious differences, he urged Nigerian students not to lose hope as the President Buhari led administration would surely correct the ills of the past and reposition the country to toe the path of development.

Onu, who was awarded the centenary certificate of leadership in recognition of his selfless service to humanity, said it was incumbent on the citizenry to support the Buhari led administration for Nigeria to enjoy respect from other nations of the world.

“We want Nigeria to be a new nation, where differences will not pose any problems for us as a nation but rather, would help us to be a stronger nation. Cement, sand and water, if you take any of them, they look so fragile but if you mix the three together, they would be so strong that it can carry any weight. That is what we want to happen in Nigeria. We want our differences to be basis of our strength; it shouldn’t be a basis of our weakness.

Nice to be optimistic and this man who was a chemical engineering don before venturing into the verbose world of politics surely knows that heavy investment in technology and manufacturing singapore– style is the shortest line to joining the ranks of the developed nations and grow the gdp and economy exponentially. With sound intellectuals in its ranks one hopes the apc government knows what it takes to engender meaningful transformation or else face the immutable verdict of history if it merely dwells in the realm of intellectual verbosity

Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, indeed you mean well for PMB and our nation Nigeria but unfortunately you have lost out in the race for SGF position.

PMB have zeroed in in South South as a former Governors of one of the South South states who is also in his entourage to a four day visit to United States beginning today (19/7/2015) have been pencilled down for the position of SGF.

In particular, former Governor Rotimi Amaechi of River state is already pencilled down for the position of SGF and He will unveilled by the presidency any moment from now .

Therefore, you have to commence race for some other position as issue of SGF is already concluded.

Similarly, former Governor of Lagos state (Fashola) has also lost out in the race for COS to the president as a retired federal permanent secretary from Kauduna state has been pencilled down for the position of COS to the president. Fashola has to
also commence race for some other position as issue of COS to the president is already concluded.

I wish both of you success in your future political permutation.

Thanks and God bless our great country, Nigeria.

Both Onu and Fashola are patriotic Nigerians

Although both men will be happy to serve, they understand that it is not compulsory for them to serve

Change has come. Nigerians are ready to put selfishness in the back burner in exchange for progress. The era of – what is in it for me – is long gone

This is not the last dispensation, when the disgusting and retrogressive economic policy was to give millions of dollars in juicy deals to, at least, one PDP member in every ward in Nigeria at the expense of infrastructure and service delivery for the masses

If the Enugu to Port Harcourt expressway, Lagos to Ibadan expressway, as well as all major roads in Nigeria, are in a good state, Onu, Fashola, together with millions of Nigerians, irrespective of party affiliation, will enjoy it
