Don’t worry, we will beat Egypt, Moses assures Nigerians

Super Eagles’ Victor Moses has raised the battle cry ahead of Nigeria’s clash with Egypt… tomorrow.

Like the Biblical Moses, Super Eagles and West Ham striker, Victor Moses, has told Nigerians not to panic ahead of tomorrow’s crucial Gabon 2017 African Nations Cup qualifier against the Pharaohs of Egypt.

Nigeria and Egypt will once again try their soccer prowess at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna this Friday in a qualifier for Gabon 2017 Nations Cup.

The Pharaohs failed to qualify for the last three editions of the Nations Cup, while the Super Eagles could not make it to the last edition in Equatorial Guinean 2015, thereby failing to defend the title they won at South Africa 2013.

With six points in their kitty from two matches, the Pharaohs lead the group, while the Eagles are second with four points.

Moses told The Guardian after a training session yesterday that the Pharaohs would wait for the 2019 edition of the Nations Cup to try their luck.

“I don’t see them (Pharaohs) stopping us from picking the ticket to Gabon. Everything will change on Friday and it is unfortunate Egypt is in our group. They have to wait for 2019. Tell Nigerians that these Egyptians they see today, they will see no more,” he said.

In the Bible, we were told of how God used Moses to rescue his people from the hands of ‘bad people’ at the Red Sea. We also read about the performance by the great Samson.

Action speaks louder than voice. Goals have eluded you for more than a decade in Super Eagle campaigns, pray for God’s favour to triumph
