Members, including friends and well-wishers gathered recently to celebrate 10th anniversary of Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church, Ojo-Alaba, Lagos.

The Vicar General, Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos and the Parish Priest of St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Ikeja, Lagos, decried poverty level of most Nigerians. He said: “Those in authority, starting from the Federal to state and local government levels have taken us for granted, behaving as if they do not have conscience.

“While they lavish the money meant for all, they find it difficult paying N18, 000 minimum wage.”

The Parish Priest, Very Rev. Father Francis Ike called on Nigerians to embrace the virtue of honesty, while urging leaders to use public funds for purposes they are meant.

The Chairman, Planning Committee, Iloka Uche, thanked the Lord for the success of the ceremony and co-operation of his members.

President, CWO, Mrs. Ngozi Mma Okoronkwo advised mothers to spend quality time with their children, since child training starts from them.
