The word and prophecy – Part 10

Apostle Lawrence Achudume
How To Get Your Reward

• Honour And Fear God:

This does not mean to be terrified or tremble in fear when you come to His presence, but to respect and to treat Him as God. God has not given us the spirit of fear. Fear is the lack of trust in His word. He is your shield and your reward. Do not allow fear to take over your heart; instead, meditate on His’ promise for your life.

“After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward” Genesis 15:1

The scriptures are clear concerning our life and fear. We are not given to bondage or fear… Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked,” Psalms 91:5-8.

God promised you victory despite your state and ordeal of the wicked. You will overcome; your life will not be crushed. You will prosper. The limiting factor to prosperity is fear, fear of the unknown and even fear of prosperity

• Giving: Every seed has a voice and it will speak your future into manifestation. Your reward is attached to your giving. When you give, you are planting a seed of prosperity and God has promised that you will not lose your reward once you obey the principle of giving.

“And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward,” Matthew 10:42.

The scripture is clear that give and it shall be given unto you in great measure (Luke 6:38). Not only finance and money can be given; good done to people and for the kingdom also receive a great reward. That is, your action receives a reward as its payment. “And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss,” Luke 23:41.

Going for evangelism, follow-up and participating in other services in the house of God have their rewards. “Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour,” 1 Corinthians 3:8.

We should trust God to receive our reward for things done. The labourer is worthy of his wages. 1Timothy 5:18. Moses knew that the reward from God is better than using manipulation to get anything. The rewards of God makes rich. “Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of reward.” Hebrews 11:26.

Prayer Points
• Pray against the spirit of pride that is in your prosperity, our heart shall not forget the Lord your God. “And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved,”  Psalms 30:6. “And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth … that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day, Deuteronomy 8:17-18.

• Pray to be humble and to depend on God always for the supply of your needs.

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you,” 1 Peter 5:6-7. “Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you,” Philippians 4:19.

• Pray to always seek God, not gold. “For after all these things do the Gentiles seek: for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you,”  Matthew 6:32-33.“The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing,” Psalms 34:10.

• Pray that you will not hold from God this year, but you will be a cheerful giver. “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work,” 2 Corinthians 9:7-8.

• This year, you will not sorrow, you will not suffer loses. “The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” Proverbs 10:22.

“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that hineth more and more unto the perfect day.” Proverbs 4:18.
