The Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has assured that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would develop and transform the Niger Delta region into a zone of development.
The Chairman of the NDDC Governing Board, Chiedu Ebie stated this at a two-day strategic retreat held by the Commission’s board and management in Akwa Ibom state.
Ebie said Tinubu inaugurated the board as part of his goal to develop the region and dispel the negative narratives that once plagued the Commission. He added that the board has adopted a leadership style that is aimed at instilling confidence in the people of the region and relevant stakeholders.
He called for the reintroduction and re-establishment of coordinated development to restore the regional course of development as well as implement ideas of responsible development.
