Urges Prayer For The Country

THE General Overseer of Manna Prayer Mountain Ministry Interdenominational, Ogudu, Lagos, Bishop (Dr.) Chris Kwakpovwe, has attributed the country’s problems to lack of selfless leaders to champion the task of nation building.

At a press briefing held recently during the ministry’s nationwide Rally/Road walk to mark Nigeria’s 55th Independence Anniversary, the publisher of Our Daily Manna, believes that better days are ahead, if only Nigeria could do away with selfish leaders.

“It looks like Nigeria is struggling, but we are praying to God to strengthen our leadership to take Nigerians to greater heights. God has really blessed this country, and we need people that can really guide it. That is why we pray that this year, Nigeria can recover from every loss, including insecurity,” he said.

The resident Pastor, Daniel Egbo noted that the event is in line with the biblical injunction in Luke 4:18 to make disciples of all men.

Similarly, wife of the Bishop, Rev. Ejiro Flora Kwakpovwe, and chief campaigner, said if every Nigerian could only take ODM seriously and pray with it, Nigeria will be a better country.

Head, Mission and Evangelism of the church, Pastor Baba Hassan, while urging Nigerians to use the occasion of the anniversary to change, said: “We should pray together, unite, stick closer to God, forgive one another and pray that God will provide our leaders with greater wisdom to lead the people aright.
