Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) has inducted 100 new executives as full members of the Institute through the executive route, which is geared towards attracting business leaders and Human Resources practitioners at the senior management and executive level.

Speaking at the event which held in Lagos, the president of CIPM, Anthony Arabome, in a speech delivered by his Vice, UdomInoyo, said the programme was designed to provide an opportunity for executives and business leaders in a cross-industry peer assist format to support each other through knowledge diffusion and engaging discourse on contemporary management issues extending beyond organizational success and stretching into strategic national issues around nation building, Vision 2020, Millennium Development Goals, etc.

He said the responsibility of the Institute was not only to regulate the practice of Human Resource management in Nigeria, but also to mandate and promote excellence in the acquisition and application of knowledge and skills in order to effectively contribute towards sustainable National development.

“The responsibility of extolling best practice in HR management falls on us as an Institute at all levels of the economy, be it the private sector or the public service. It is our hope that you would raise the consciousness of CIPM in organizations across all sectors of the economy and create a potential lever for the Institute through the various organizations you represent.
