President of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), Dr. Nat Ofo, has enjoined members of the institute to shun all unprofessional activities capable of tarnishing their personal reputation and the image of the body.

Dr. Ofo made the plea just as he commended the resolve of the House of Representatives to probe oil marketers who are allegedly indebted to the Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC),agreeing that this would boost the Federal Government‘s revenue.

Speaking at the 42nd yearly meeting of the Institute in Lagos, he said that shunning any untoward professional acts would also make the Institute achieve its efforts at promoting and projecting good Corporate Governance in the country.

“As Corporate Governance practitioners, we must always be at the forefront of promoting the ideals for which ICSAN is reputed. A professional body is as good as the support it enjoys from its members”, Ofo further said.

Stating that the performance of the Institute so far in 2016 was very good, the ICSAN boss said the reforms already being implemented at the Institute were beginning to have outstanding positive impact.

He then solicited members’ continued understanding, support and involvement in the efforts to have a more dynamic, robust and vibrant Institute.

Dr. Ofo also said the plan by the House of Representatives to probe oil marketers who are indebted to the PPMC is in order as it would boost the Federal Government‘s revenue.
