CSEAN kicks off cyber security awareness campaign, expansion
As part of CSEAN’s efforts to reach the grassroots and have direct impact on national cyber security consciousness, the association is establishing branches in all state capitals of the federation starting with FCT, while the national secretariat will remain in Abuja rendering oversight and strategic functions including coordinating growing members in Diaspora.
President, CSEAN, Remi Afon, said: “During the branch launch, a leading Cyber Security Entrepreneur with notable experience in government and private sector will be talking on the “Emerging Cyber Security Field in Nigeria and Practical Steps to Securing a Good Career in it”. Presentation of certificates to new members and an induction lecture by the National Vice President of the association Dr. Ismaila Jubril with also feature.”
Considering the operational success recorded with CSEAN’s North-Zone, headquartered in Minna, the FCT branch hopes to serve as a model for all other branches of the association.
CSEAN, with its firm belief that Cyber Security professionals will continue to be in demand worldwide as there is global shortage of cyber security experts, encourages youths to further venture into study and mastering of cyber security trends, stating that the future is in the hands of those who chart their course in the cyber space.
“On July 23, CSEAN will kick off STOP.THINK.CONNECT campaign in all tertiary institutions in Nigeria starting with Federal University of Technology, Minna,” Remi said.
He continued: “STOP. THINK. CONNECT is a global cyber security awareness campaign to help all digital citizens stay safer and more secure online. The campaign’s three easy, actionable steps: STOP. THINK. CONNECT. are easy to understand and apply.
