Firm generated €4.3 billion in 2020
Sopra Banking Software (SBS), a global leader in the financial technologically-based organisation, said the bank generated a turnover of €4.3 billion in 2020.
The founder of TAJ Bank, Hamid Joda, who made this known in an interview with journalists in Abuja, commended SBS for its contribution to the growth of the banking sector.
He said SBS is a subsidiary of Sopra Steria Group, a leading digital services and software development organization in Europe with more than 46,000 employees, and generated a turnover of €4.3 billion in 2020.
Joda said: “SBS has demonstrated its commitment to make our ambition a reality; TAj Bank aims to be number one in the non-interest banking market in Africa. SBS supported TAJ Bank in its opening and we are proud to have earned their trust during this tight deadline project.
“This project has enabled us to demonstrate that our software services and banking capabilities are truly the solution of choice for banks in Nigeria, looking at operations in a fast-changing banking environment, and facilitating financial inclusion.”
He also noted that TAJ Bank launched a non-interest banking institution with head office in Abuja to make a mark in the non-interest banking market in Africa.
Director of SBS Consulting Limited, Dennis Omoroseghe, said its information technology modernisation remained a priority for most Nigerian banks.
He also said the organisation would bridge the widening gap between the front office and back-office operations and services.
