NOUN holds 4th convocation ceremony
THE National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), will at its 4th Convocation Ceremony, scheduled for Saturday January 17, 2015, at the Main Exhibition Hall 1&2 of the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos, present about 7,000 students, who have successfully completed their various programmes, for the conferment of Certificates, Diplomas, Bachelors Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas, Masters and Honorary Degrees.
A statement made available to The Guardian and signed by the Head, Media and Information, Dr. Ronke Ogunmakin, stated that the ceremony will be preceded by a lecture titled: “Open & Distance Learning and Democratic Transformation in Nigeria,” which will be delivered by Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs, Prof. Rufai Ahmed Alkali.
The lecture will hold tomorrow, at 11.00am, and will be chaired by Executive Secretary, Nigerian Educational Research & Development Council (NERDC). Prof Godswill Obioma,
The statement further explained that the university, under the leadership of the current Vice Chancellor, Prof. Vincent Ado Tenebe, has been consistence with the convocation ceremony.
