School’s proprietress charges graduating students on excellence, dedication
Proprietress of Mind Builders High School, Lagos, Mrs. Bolajoko Morolake Falore, has tasked graduating students of the institution to remain focused and always strive for excellence as they step up for higher academic pursuits, away from the watchful eyes of their parents and guardians.
Falore who gave the charge at the 2015 valedictory service and graduation/prize-giving ceremony, cautioned the departing students to moderate their actions and inaction, as they may not be lucky to have their parent’s within earshot to sound the alarm bells at regular intervals.
The proprietress who doubles as the education director of the school harped on the need for them to make excellence their watchword as they chase the Golden Fleece.
She, however, expressed sadness that she would miss the students, some of whom she said she had established strong affection with over the last three to six years they spent in the college.
“It is going to be an understatement if I say I am not going to miss them. Some of them have been here in the last six years, some four, some three. But the truth of the matter is that I can’t hold them down; they are moving forward in their lives,” the proprietress stated.
She continued, “They have been numerously counseled. But my advise to them is that they should be focused and when they are doing this, they should focus on excellence. They are going into the world, where there will be no shielding from any parent, there will be no shielding from any teacher. So, they should know exactly what they want.
They should set a goal for themselves, be focused and remember all what we have thought them in Mind Builders School. These should be their guiding factors.
“But in all of these, I see in them talents and so many good qualities that give me soothing relief that they will succeed in life.”
