‘Build a better world for yourselves, future generation’
THE 2015 graduating students of Avi-Cenna School, have been advised to build a better world, not just for themselves but also for the future generations by making something beautiful out of their lives.
This was the admonition of the Principal, Mr. David Ogburn, during the graduation ceremony of the school. He urged them not be daunted by the challenges ahead, adding that the school had equipped them with the necessary skills, attributes and the confidence to make lasting impression on the world.
“Your future success will not fall at your feet. There is a price to be paid for success: dedication, perseverance, a lot of perspiration and the development of a strong and good character. “ I advise all of you to continue to develop your personal attributes and involve yourselves in a variety of pursuit that goes beyond the academic aspect of school life,” he said.
The principal enjoined the graduating students to engage as much as they can with the wider world and to always stride out boldly and go forward with confidence and conviction.
He hinted that what lies behind and before them are insignificant matters compared to what lies within them, advising that they should not always follow where the path may lead, but instead, they should go where there is no path and blaze in their trail and always be true to themselves.
