Talklove Africa Foundation launches campaign to promote quality education
In a bid to promote quality education globally, Talklove Africa Foundation (TAF) Nigeria has launched an advocacy campaign which seeks to challenge individuals, groups and organizations across the globe to take actions that can promote quality education.
Currently running actively in 20 countries including Nigeria, the campaign, which started in February 2019 and is gaining strength across social media platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, charges interested participants to identify and proffer solutions to any challenge to quality education in their countries and communities.
Speaking about the campaign, tagged #ProgressForQualityEducation, Founder of TalkLove Africa Foundation Cynthia Obinwanne says, “We initially intended that participants will take action to progress quality education in their countries and communities on March 20, the International Day of Happiness, as a way of sharing happiness across the globe, but due to the great success recorded and indications from more participants to join the campaign, we wish to continue since the impact has been laudable.”
This challenge has resulted in out-of-school children going back to school after receiving scholarships from campaign participants; school supplies being distributed in various schools around the world to underprivileged children, and child abuse prevention programmes being taken to lots of schools across the globe.
The #ProgressForQualityEducation, an initiative of TalkLove Africa Foundation is proudly supported by Global Goodwill Ambassadors USA, Naifa Maruf Foundation Bangladesh, My Body is my Body UK, Wheels of hope rising Nigeria and Image Talks Africa Nigeria.
