What problem does your company solve?
We offer healthy eating, weight loss and fun meals through exciting products made with Tiger-nuts.

How did the idea for your business come about?
With intense passion for cooking, continuous research and quest to learn complex dishes, I stumbled across Tigernut milk on YouTube in February 2017. After making Tigernut milk, the curious part of me felt that the shaft from the milk couldn’t be ignored. Through extensive research, I realized tiger nut wasn’t just good for milk, but is currently one of the top 10 super foods in the world, perfect for diabetics, weight-watchers, good guts, fertility, heart and general wellness. That was the start of Behealthyng. We started out making flour and swallow in March 2017.

What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?
. Research and Focus: First, God was my platform, then research had to follow- product research, industry research, related products research to known how best to present good quality and useful products to your target market.

. Self-Believe /Reliance Skills: Starting my path with Tigernuts came with me taking initial steps with little explanation to people. I had to believe in myself first, research, produce samples and then got people to try the products samples. It was then I started really explaining my thoughts and dreams to people, it was easier that way.

. Sales / Customer Service Skills:
Being shy or reserved is not an option in business, I am a very reserved person, but a major lesson I had to learn was to interact with each customer like their patronage was what my business needed to survive. That’s a major challenge but I have improved considerably.

. What have been some of your failures, and what have you learned from them?
Not going down the chain of production to ensure I have the perfect raw material. When feedbacks came back with regards to the products, I had to go further down the chain of production and that was a game changer, because I addressed complaints and can stand by the quality of our products confidently. I can say feedbacks are the greatest push to greatness if taken as an advise, no matter how it was presented.

How long do you stick with an idea before giving up?
I don’t dwell on ideas I don’t intend to actualize. I have found out it can cause a stall in growth. Since the inception of Behealthyng, I have tried to stay focused.

Research might change the plans but usually it is along the initial ideas laid out.

How can you prevent mistakes or do damage control?
Don’t dwell on mistakes, get up and soldier on. Learn from mistakes and ensure you don’t do the same thing again.

What do you do in your non-work time? Cooking, arts and crafts

What makes you happy?
Customer satisfaction and sales (good feedbacks). That’s the whole essence of every business.
