Discover The Ultimate Desert Adventure in The Gobi

The Gobi Desert is a vast, arid region in northern China and southern Mongolia. It’s known for its dunes, mountains and rare animals such as snow leopards and Bactrian camels.

The desert basins of the Gobi are bounded by the Altai Mountains and the grasslands and steppes of Mongolia on the north, by the Taklamakan Desert to the west, by the Hexi Corridor and Tibetan Plateau to the southwest and by the North China Plain to the southeast. The Gobi is notable in history as part of the great Mongol Empire and as the location of several important cities along the Silk Road.

The Gobi desert offers a completely unique travel practical experience free from any urbanization, incessant noise, pollution and rowdy crowds. It is an excellent place to let your hair down, get pleasure from the peace and tranquility of the never-ending landscapes, ride camels, as well as develop completely new hobbies and interests like throat singing and falconry.

Tourists always tend to visit Bayanzag while in Gobi as it is regarded as ‘The land of the dinosaurs’ because the area of Bayanza was excavated in 1922 and is known around the world as one of the main places of discoveries of dinosaur bones, fossils and eggs which are millions of years old. You can explore the beauty and the stillness of this native land of dinosaurs at your leisure and if you are lucky, you may even spot a fossil.

Riding camels is also very popular and no visit to Mongolia is complete without voyaging around the dunes and deserts. Although camel riding may not be for faint-hearted, it is actually almost a rite of passing while visiting the Gobi desert.
