Abia gets three new judges
Benson Anya, Enyinnaya Okezie and Adiele Ogbonna have been sworn into office as justices of Abia State high court, following the ratification of their nominations by the National Judicial Council (NJC).
Before their elevation as judges, Anya was Chief Registrar of the High Court, Okezie the Solicitor-General/Permanent Secretary in the state’s Ministry of Justice and Ogbonna a chief magistrate.
While presenting them to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for inauguration yesterday, the Chief Judge, Justice Onuoha Ogwe, described them as worthy materials whose recommendations were approved by the NJC.
Ikpeazu charged them to live up to the oaths and prayed God to give strength and wisdom to serve.
