Former military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida has appealed to Nigerians to endure the present hardship and give President Muhammadu Buhari enough time to turn around the economy. He also refuted rumour of his death making round, saying that he is alive and in excellent health.

Babangida spoke at the weekend with newsmen at his Hilltop mansion, Minna debunking the rumour of his death, which he said, is all over the social media.

He however said that he is not bothered about the rumour, maintaining that death is a necessary end and it will come when the time comes, saying every living being must experience it.

According to him, “for me it doesn’t shock me, neither does it bother me because I know I must go and meet God my Creator one day. There is really nothing really to worry about, my religion has told me.”

“Well as a Muslim I strongly believe everybody will die, everybody will die at a time. It could be now or in a hundred years time or two days to come but it doesn’t matter, everybody must die,” he submitted.

The former leader emphasized that nobody is above sickness or death because nobody is above what God has destined as everybody must either fall sick or die one day.

On the current hardship being faced by Nigerians, Babangida pleaded with Nigerians to be patient with the present administration, noting that Nigeria will surely surmount its present challenges and painted a very beautiful picture of the future for the younger generations.

He expressed optimism that the future of the country is bright, “I strongly believe in this country, which is further demonstrated by the people of these great nation because they are very industrious people, hardworking. This gives me hope for Nigeria,” he stated.

The future of Nigeria is very bright in deed. We know that and any child given birth to today expects that. But the leadership of Nigeria demands bright and futuristic thinking able body men. Not sick, weak, old, slow, uneconomically slow thinking, selfishly and power hungry.

We know that we will died one day and move up to be with our creator. We dont need anyone to waste the quality time we will have to spend with our family, friends and loved ones here while we live in Nigeria while spend hard resources motgaging our future taking care of a problem that is supposed to take care of her.

We are waiting, enduring and we are loosing our life, loosing our businesses, losing members of our families because we hardly can take care of ourself let alone taking care of them, our chldren are dropping from primary school because we cant afford the N20,000 termly tuition, barely feeding well; then all we have to do is patiently endure until we are forced to go meet our God unprepared and unriped but Nigeria is busy taking care, nurturing and nurishing the agent that causing an unhealthy change.

Please oga president should honorably vacate the office let anyone that’s capable continue with his vision even if that person is his son daughter of wife as long as Nigeria succeeds and is working, we don’t want to know who’s making it. Enough is enough.

Nigeria need able bodied futuristic thinking leadership.
