Borno, Sudan sign pact to train 100 gemale medical students
The Borno State government, yesterday signed a Memorundum of Understanding (MOU), with Ahfad University of Women, Sudan, to for the training of 100 medical students.
Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Usman Jidda Shuawa, made the disclosure shortly after signing the MoU, with representative of the university, and its Director of Admission, Dr. Abubakar Abdelazim.
Shuwa explained that during Governor Kashim Shettima’s visit to the school in June, an agreement, where president of the university agreed to sponsor 50 indigenes of the state, to undergo MBBS and 50 students to be paid for by the state government, was reached.
“We are here this afternoon to formalise that agreement by signing an MOU between the Ahfad University and the Borno state government to train 100 female students in MBBS.
