Council ex-scribe lauds Ambode on road construction

Former Secretary, Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mulikat Adunni Oyefusi, has expressed appreciation to Governor Ambode Akinwunmi for constructing roads on Balogun Oyero and Adebimpe streets, in Ikosi-Isheri LCDA.

She said the projects had provided employment to youths and traders. According to her, the roads constructed by local contractors during her tenure, as the Secretary, Ikorodu West LCDA, would bring development and reduce traffic congestion.

The governor represented by his Special Adviser on Urban Development, Mrs. Yetunde Onabule, urged the residents to take ownership of infrastructure provided by the government to enable additional projects come to their communities.

He said: “The simultaneous commissioning of the first 114 access and link road projects throughout the state is another testimony to a better and inclusive tomorrow. I thank the community leaders and officers who monitored the projects and community development associations that persuaded their members to shift fences to allow roads to be expanded and resolve issues that might have stalled the projects.”

The Sole Administrator of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Aremo Abdul Adewale, expressed the appreciation of the council’s residents to the governor for the successful completion of the two roads, adding that he has been able to prove that his administration is unequivocally committed to the welfare of people at the grassroots.

On his part, the sole administrator, Ikorodu West LCDA, Segun Anifowoshe, noted that the two new roads in the council were Taiwo Molajo Street in Owutu and Ojediran/Shopitan Street Ipakodo both measuring 680 metres and 550 meters respectively.“These projects re just a series of many to come, therefore I urge the residents of these areas to put into good use these projects,” he said.
