AS a way of showing love to its core brand loyalists: the children during this festive season, ‘Indomie Special Santa’ paid a surprise visit to the Paediatrics Unit of the Gbagada General Hospital, Lagos to present gift items to the children in the hospital as well as to donate some medical equipment to the unit.
Speaking during the visit, The Head, Public Relations and Event Manager, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, Mr. Tope Ashiwaju, stated the visit to the hospital was to celebrate with children on admission at the hospital and also to bring the celebration of Christmas to them on the sick bed.
Receiving the medical equipment donated by the Dufil Prima foods, the Medical Director, Gbagada General Hospital, Dr. Tayo Lawal, expressed the management’s delight for the gesture.
The Apex Nurse of the hospital, Mrs. Abosede Oluwabuyide also expressed gratitude to the brand for the thoughtfulness towards the patient in the hospital, especially the children.
In a related development, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Lagos State House of Assembly in Surulere Constituency II during the 2015 general elections, Deji Awobotu, has charged public officers not to break their ties with the people who elected them into office at the grassroots.
He made this known at the presentation of Deji Awobotu Foundation Christmas donation to party leaders and members of the constituency in Surulere. According to him, politics is about service and you cannot serve without making yourself available to the people and bringing qualitative development to their communities.
Deji, who is the chief executive of Adrac Business School, also used the opportunity to distribute bags of rice to party members, saying that it was his own way of rendering service and supporting the party.
“I decided to distribute foodstuff to members of our party in different wards as a way of encouraging them. Giving should be a way of life,” he said.
