Kachikwu Effects Major Changes At NNPC
The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, has effected major movements of personnel at the corporation.
In a meeting with all the staffers at the amphitheatre of the corporation late on Thursday, Kachikwu explained that the movements and appointments of new officers were part of the restructuring of the corporation, which are meant to boost efficiency and enhance performance and should not be seen as witch-hunt.
He said while the appointments were immediate, unit heads are expected to resume latest on April 1, this year.
In the announcement, Mohammed Deen Garba succeeds Ohi Alegbe as Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division.
Alegbe moves to the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) unit as Group General Manager.
The breakdown of the Group Executive Director (GED)/Chief Operation Officer (COO) include Bello Rabiu, Upstream; Henry Ikem-Obih, Downstream; Anibor Kragha, Refineries; Saidu Mohammed, Gas and Power; Babatunde Adeniran, Ventures; Isiaka Abdulrazaq, Finance and Accounts; Isa Inuwa, Corporate Services.
The Group General Managers (GGMs) Strategy and Execution are expected to support the GEDs/COOs.
The GGM Downstream is Surajdeen Afolabi; Ugochukwu Afamefuna Vitalis, GGM Refineries; and Yusuf Matashi, GGM Gas and Power.
Ladipo Fagbola is GGM Ventures, Finance and Accounts has Ahmadu Sambo as GGM, while Modupe Bammake is GGM Corporate Services.
The new appointments also include that of Strategic Business Unit Heads.
In the Upstream, Roland Ewubare is Managing Director of IDSL. In the downstream, former managing director of PPMC, Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue is now in charge of Retails, while former Executive Secretary of PPPRA, Farouk Ahmed emerged the managing director of the Nigeria Petroleum Marketing.
Dalhatu Makama is the new GGM, Marine Logistics; Bafred Enjugu is the managing director of Port Harcourt Refinery, while Adewale Ladenegan is managing director of Warri Refinery and Idi Muktar is saddled with heading the Kaduna Refinery as the managing director.
In the Gas and Power, Samuel Ndukwe is the managing director of Gas and Power Investments; Mazadu Bako is managing director of NGMC; and Babatunde Bakare is the managing director of NGPTC.
Under Ventures, Danny Sokari George is the managing director, Properties; Saidu Abdulkadir is managing director of Shipping; the managing director of NETCO is Aliyu Sikiru; and managing director of NOFS is Lawrencia Ndupu.
Rabiu Suleiman is GGM RED/Frontier Exploration Services, while GGM Medicals is Oyetunde Olubunmi Oyekan.
In the Group Managing Director’ office, Managing Director (MD) Trading is Inuwa Waya, while Mele Kyari is GGM Crude Oil Marketing Department (COMD).
Financial Controller is Mike Balami; GGM Treasury (Dapo Segun); GGM Liabilities Management (Godwin Okonkwo); NNPC Capital (Aliyu Zubair Sambo); MD Pensions (Danbello Naadiyalle); and GM Insurance (Mrs. Izilen Okosun).
NAPIMS, which has just been moved to the office of the GMD, has Dafe Sejebor as GGM; Ndu Ughamadu is GGM, Labour Relations; Bala Wunti is GM Efficiency Unit; GGM CSLD (Chidi Momah); and GGM CSR (Ohi Alegbe).
Others are GGM ITD (Inuwa Danladi); GGM HR (Adekemi Akitoye); GGM ETD (Farouk G. Sa’id); GM SCM (Sophia Mbakwe); GM Group Security (Sam Otoboeze); GM HSE (Maduebo Mbakwe); GM Group Admin Services (Eziaha Uchendu); and GGM NNPC Leadership Academy (Ayatode Oyinlola).
Those on secondment to the corporation are Mohammed Barau, who is from the Ministry is Technical Adviser, Gas; Abubakar Mai-Bornu Sadeeq (formerly MD, NPDC to DMD NLNG), R&T and Nnamdi Ajulu, Consultant Refinery & Infrastructure (Ministry of Petroleum Resources).
