LCCI warns investments, economic activities may slow down due to traffic law
The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has warned that continued implementation of the traffic law in its present form by the Lagos State government will not only slow down momentum of economic activities, but also affect emerging innovative investments in the state.
According to the chamber, the informal sector of the Lagos economy is bound to be affected by the restrictions, as connectivity of domestic economic agents would suffer a deceleration.
The Chamber’s Director-General, Dr. Muda Yusuf explained that the tempo and momentum of economic activities would experience a slow down as the velocity of business transactions would be adversely affected, adding that the restrictions would also take a toll on the huge and vibrant informal economy in the state.
