Ogun CP Vows To Arrest Killers Of Iyaloja
OGUN State Police Commissioner, Mr. Abdul-Majeed Alli yesterday assured that his command would leave no stone unturned to bring the killers of the Market Women leader (Iyaloja) of Ijebu-Ode, Alhaja Saidat Eleweju, to book.
The octogenarian was hacked to death with machete at her Sabo, Ijebu-Ode residence by yet to be identified men. They were six in number.
The Commissioner spoke when he paid a visit to the family of the deceased. Alli who assumed office only last week, stated that the incident was a test case for him.
He enjoined the family members of the deceased to cooperate with the command in its bid to conduct proper investigation into the incident.
“It is an unfortunate incident that has happened and I am here on behalf of the Inspector General of Police and the entire police force to commiserate with the family and to assure them of the Nigeria Police support on the incident”, Alli said.
