Pacelli School, Destiny Trust celebrate Christmas with kids
Speaking at the ceremony, the principal, Reverend Sister Jane Onyeneri, said though vulnerable and disadvantaged, the school is committed to turning out pupils that will be useful to themselves and the community at large through educational instructions and vocational skills that will make them self-reliant.
“Instead of going out to the street to beg or steal, we are helping them become useful to society and we need the society and government at all levels to support us,” she said.
In the same vein, the Destiny Trust, a social intervention committed to the education, rehabilitation and empowerment of homeless children, will be hosting a Christmas Football and Family Day Out event tagged Kick for Love to support its work with vulnerable children and their households.
The charity football event will hold on Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 2-6 p.m at the COD Football Turf, City of David Road, off Ligali Ayorinde Street, Victoria lsland, Lagos. The second match is a five -aside Celebrity football match, an assemblage of ex-internationals, current footballers, Sports On-Air-Personalities.
