‘Ralph Uwazurike disrespectful to leaders’
A FACTION of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) yesterday accused the leader of the group, Ralph Uwazurike, of disrespect to some Igbo leaders.
In a statement by its Director of Information, Uchenna Madu, the faction accused Uwazurike of using some members of the group to “terrorise, humiliate, threaten and insult in different manners” Chekwas Okorie, Victor Umeh, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Dozie Ikedife, Peter Obi and Mazi Nnamdi Kalu, among others.
Titled, “Stop Deceiving Ndigbo,” the statement accused the leader of the group of levying members to establish a radio station. It claimed that the group’s resolution came after a month of national officers’ meeting in Okwe, Onuimo. It further apologised to the Igbo leaders who were insulted in any manner.
More over, the faction vowed that its members would not contribute any money or levy but would remain self-agitators.
Though Uwazurike could not be reached yet, another member of his divide, who craved anonymity, denied the accusation, describing the statement as being issued by a “dissident” faction.
