Saraki laments Plateau killings
Mourns Adedoyin, Commiserates With Air Force
Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has commiserated with government and people of Plateau State over recent attack that reportedly left about 15 people dead. He called on security agencies to protect the people and nab criminals perpetrating violence across the country.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, Saraki called for calm, investigation and prosecution of all those involved in the attacks, saying “senseless and malicious violence must have no place in Nigeria.”
The Senate President commended Governor Simon Lalong for the efforts he and his administration have taken to maintain peace in the state.
Meanwhile, Saraki has expressed deep shock over the death of House of Representatives member representing Ekiti/Isin/Irepodun/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency in Kwara State, Hon. Funke Adedoyin.
In a statement, he described late Adedoyin as a loyal, hard working and grassroots politician, who spent the greater part of her life in the service of her people and humanity.
He said Adedoyin’s demise represents a colossal loss to her constituency in Kwara State, the House of Representatives, the 8th National Assembly and the country.
Similarly, Saraki commiserated with the Nigerian Air Force and family of the Air Force pilot, who lost his life during a crash in Abuja on Friday.
