Amidst tears and tributes, the slain female preacher and Deaconess of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Eunice Olawale, was yesterday laid to rest at the Gudu cemetery in the Federal Capital Territory.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to ensure that justice is done in her case by bringing the perpetrators to book.
Deaconess Olawale, mother of seven, was killed by unknown assailants in the early hours of Saturday, 9th July 2016, while preaching around the Gbazango-West area of Kubwa, a satellite town in the Federal Capital Territory.
Speaking at the Burial Service held in RCCG FCT 2 Provincial Headquarters in Kubwa, Buhari observed that all Nigerians should be safe and free to practice their religion anywhere, adding that his administration’s resolve is to fish out the perpetrators.
