The Special Task Force (STF) otherwise known as Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) says that it has put its officers and men on the alert to ensure a hitch-free Sallah celebration in Plateau State and beyond.

It says that the task force will guard and sustain the relative peace that is being enjoyed in the state presently.

Commander of the task force, Major-General Rogers Nicholas, stated this when he and his troops went to Southern Kaduna for routine checks. He added that the mandate of the task force has been extended, to take charge of four local government areas in Kaduna State, Jamaah, Kaura, Zango Kataf and Changa.

Nicholas urged members of the public to report any suspicious movement capable of disrupting peace in their areas.

Similarly, the Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Peter Ogunyanwo, has equally assured the people of the state of hitch-free celebrations as the necessary security measures have been put in place, pledging to combat any form of criminality to truncate the relative peace being enjoyed.
