Teaching hospital decries indebtedness

University-Teaching-Hospital-THE management of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) yesterday said it loses five to six million naira monthly to patients.

The Chief Medical Director, Professor Michael Ibadin made the disclosure at a press conference while responding to allegations of corruption levelled against him by the leadership of the institution’s chapter of Association of Resident Doctors (ARD).

The doctors, had in a statement signed by Dr. Omoregbe Owen, deplored the state of facilities at the establishment, alleging exploitation, corrupt practices and other sundry issues by the management.
