Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, yesterday, donated food items to occupants of Child’s Right and Rehabilitation Network [CRARN] in Ikot Afaha, Eket local government council.

The Centre is a children-home founded by Sam Ikpe Itauma, to put human face on the tragedy that almost labelled the state as a place where children roaming the streets are seen as witches or wizards.

Making the donation on behalf of the governor, Head, Government House Prayer Team, and Special Assistant to the governor on Religious
Matters, Rev. Daniel Akwatang said they were there to offer prayers and deliver message from the governor who is their father.

Besides, the gesture according to him is to give the children sense of belonging and to remind them that they are not forgotten by the government. AkwaAtang stressed government’s commitment to protecting children and supporting their welfare, urging them to be humble and concentrate on their studies in order to live a successful life in the future.
