Women emphasise importance of prayer at conference
…Adeboye’s wife urges youths to imbibe fear of God
Women have been advised not to relent in prayers for their families and the nation. It was for this reason that When Women Pray (WWP) Fellowship, an interdenominational fellowship recently held its yearly conference tagged: “Far above Rubies”.
Speaking at the conference, the South West Coordinator and Resident Pastor, Lagos 1 WWP, Pastor Temilade Zurike said: “This interdenominational fellowship started six years ago by Pastor (Mrs.) Opi Agha in Port Harcourt with the sole objectives of raising a generation of women that are hungry for God and sensitive about the things of the kingdom. We are passionate about the place of women in prayer, especially women who are, intentional in their walk with God. Since its inception, the fellowship as grown to become a national fellowship with members across all the states in Nigeria.”
She further added that “The theme for this year’s main conference is “God Cannot Lie” which is schedule to hold on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Excel Event Centre, Ikeja Lagos.
Expected to minister at the event include the National president of the fellowship, Pastor Opi Agha, all Regional Pastors and other anointed women of God. The when women pray fellowship also participates in other charitable activities such as visit orphanage homes, prison, hospitals among others.
In a related development, Nigerian youths have been urged to imbibe the fear of God in their life’s pursuit and chosen fields of endeavour.
The advice was given by the wife of General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Mrs. Folu Adeboye.
Speaking at the first Regional Redeemer’s Day last weekend in Lagos on the theme: “God strength for all times,” Adeboye, who was represented by wife of the pastor for Region One, Mrs. Rachael Odesola, said the imperativeness of relying on God for strength ccou be over emphasized, adding that the Almighty God is the ultimate source of strength that every youths need in order to succeed.
She noted that one of the essences of organizing the programme was to bring the event nearer to school children and parents in line with the vision of RCCG of having a parish within five minutes walking distance.
