Osinbajo, Odigie-Oyegun, Sheriff meet at Villa
Former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, yesterday held a closed-door meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.
The mission of the erstwhile governor of Borno State to the seat of power was unknown, as he avoided State House correspondents after the parley, which lasted for about two hours.
Since his ouster by the Supreme Court a couple of months ago, he has not been seen in any PDP gatherings, heightening speculations that he might be gunning for the membership of the ruling APC.
Specifically, while the leadership tussle brewed, Sheriff was accused of working for the party in power.
Immediately after his sack by the apex court, the caretaker chairman, Ahmed Makarfi, began a restructuring programme to avert, in the future, what stalwarts have termed moles in the main opposition party.
