IN honour of the late President Umaru Yar’Adua and in observation of the seven-day national mourning period declared by the Federal Government, this weekend’s Star Trek concerts scheduled to hold in Awka and Kwale have been postponed and re-scheduled to hold on June 4 and 5 respectively. The Nigerian Breweries Plc, makers of Star lager beer and organizers of the concerts, in a statement apologized for any inconvenience the postponement will cause teeming music lovers in the two cities.
“The Star Trek tour will continue in the other cities as originally advertised after the official mourning period.
“Star joins millions of Nigerians to mourn the passing to glory of our President. May the soul of the President rest in Peace. Long live Nigeria!,” the statement read in part.
