Djinee returns, set to release new single



Remember the song…If you help me see Ego, tell my own…the singer Djinee is back on the scene and is set release a new single. He recently released a statement confirming he is still in the music game following rumours making round that he had quit. He affirmed that he would be putting out a new single in the coming weeks.

Djinee, made an appearance at the recently held 2face Idibia’s ‘Buckwyld n Breathlss’ concert held in Lagos, where he had a heart warming reunion with the Chocolate City Music acts, M.I, Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince and Nosa, and performed to the delight of the audience his single ‘Overkilling’ together with M.I.

In press statement, Djinee said he has not quit music for an alternative career path. The musical prodigy with background in classical and contemporary music prides himself in the art of creating magical and timeless music with a track record of hit singles such as ‘Ego’, ‘I no dey shame’, ‘Overkilling’ and ‘Lade’ among others.

He took time off music to work on his craft while performing to his niche audience within and outside the country. According him, music is his first love and he believes that as individuals and artiste we are in a constant competition with ourselves to surpass records or milestones previously achieved. “It is our duty to ensure our present and future is better than our past,” he stated.

The singer said he believes growth is a constant in life and he needed to challenge himself and further build his artistry. He further explained that while being off the mainstream music scene, he was engaged in traveling and musical study to further develop his sound.

He noted that the break from mainstream entertainment scene left him rejuvenated and inspired, adding he has been working tirelessly in the studio on new mind blowing songs that even leaves him as an artiste overwhelmed. “I can’t wait to share this new content with my ever loving and supportive fans,” he said.
