Tito Da Fire drops One Kiss
Singer and songwriter, Jedidiah Uduak Peters well known as Tito Da Fire has released his latest album One Kiss, a 17 tracker with a fusion of afropop, R ‘n’ B and reggae.
The artiste, who has been in the entrainment industry for a long time now, describes his music as ‘Ganta Sound’.
Tito Da Fire in some of the tracks collaborated with some notable music acts in the country like Beenie Man, 9ice.
Recalling his journey into music, the singer at a ‘meet the media event held in Victoria Island, Lagos, said that he started while he was in secondary school.
“We use to have then every Friday where we performed but it was cut short because the school felt it would distract the students and make them not focus on their studies. So, after I left secondary, I joined a group called Colosians and later joined the Gentlemen group.
On what makes him unique as an artiste, he said, “I’m an Afrocentric musician who love to tell stories about myself and the environment. Social relevance is very essential in my music. I studied Ruggedman, Sound Sultan who is spiritual and Chantaman. I also think people should learn from Olamide and Davido who have put in a lot hard work into their music and releasing songs hits by hits.”
“In terms of consistency, I have learnt from Tubaba (Innocent Idibia), and other great artistes who have proved their mettle in the entertainment industry, paved way for others and continued to remain relevant,” he added.
He continued: “I don’t know what tomorrow will bring but I hope to continue singing and dishing out great music till I grow old.
I am not afraid of competition because I believe there is a big playing field for everyone. If you have your own unique sound, there is a place for you. I believe music is something that will outlive you. I had to divorce myself from everybody’s sound and do me.”His earlier releases include Majekaja, Seun Rere , Pop Tins and others. “Five years from now, I see myself doing good music, more collaborations, more albums and Ganta Sounds recognised. I also see myself being the best I can be in my musical career ,” he said.
